Yes, we know. We think it is stupid as well. But we live in a litigious age. Your Garden Safari product is made of a natural material - wood. We leave much of it deliberately roughened. That means splinters. Please take when handling your product to use thick gloves or other protection to avoid them. Many of our products are designed to be hung or mounted on walls and in trees and other overhead locations. When doing so, please use choose the location to make sure that the product cannot fall and injure someone, particularly in high winds. When putting your product up or mounting it, please use appropriate safety equipment to avoid falling and/or injuring yourself. Proper ladders, suitable hammers and perhaps even a layer of cotton wool. All of our products are heavy and you should take care when mounting them not to allow them to drop on any part of yourself or any other person. Under no cicumstances attempt to hammer, drill, screw or lift our boxes above your head or in any other position where doing so could cause an injury and pelase observe the working at height regulations. Some of our products are designed to be run outside using a low-voltage mains adaptor. The voltage supplied by these products is low and is safe for use in the garden, but the mains adaptor is not desiged to be used outdoors or in damp or wet locations. When running any low voltage product from the mains you are strongly advised to make sure that the mains circuit is protected with an RCD (residual current device) in accordance with BS7816.
Bottom line is please use your commonsense and seek help to mount your box if you need it.
Offer and acceptance
Because we hand-make all our boxes and are dependent on suppliers from all around the wold for components, we can't guarantee that any given product is in stock at any given time, and all of our offers, whether on this website or other auction sites, are offers to treat made on this basis. We normally allocate products on a first-paid basis. If ordering for a weddding, a birthday or other special occasion you are advised to email us and check on stock levels before ordering - we will make reasonable efforts in most cases to hold an item for you where possible, but have to be fair to our other customers, so will not hold a product for more than a week. Under no circumstances do we guarantee delivery in time for any given event, and you should normally allow up to 28 days for delivery. It is impossible for us to constantly modify our online ordering system to allow for varying stock levels so all orders are accepted at our absolute discretion and we reserve the right to withdraw our offer to treat and/or to reject and refund any order (whether accepted by our online ordering system or not) at any time without giving reasons.
Illustrations and descriptions
We try very hard to be accurate -even conservative - in our descriptions of our products , but we are building them with natural products and sizes, colours and materials may vary. Our wood may vary in thickness but we don't buy it if it is less than 15mm thick. All pictures and illustrations in our website and catalogue are guidelines only and actual appearance, dimensions, materials and equipment used may vary as part of our programme of continuous product improvement. If you believe any aspect of our adverts has been misleading, please email us and we'll try and put it right.
Computers
Because there are a great many different models of computer and TV out there, we can't test our products against all of them. We reasonably believe that our products will work with in acordance with the specifications we have set out but we will not be responsible (beyond our guarantee, below) for any loss or damage if they do not. If your Garden Safari product does not work with your PC, TV or video, please email us and we'll try and suggest ways in which the problem can be identified, but we are not responsible for debugging the product in your particular combination of equipment if it is inherently functional . In our experience, it's usually the PC / TV that has the problem rather than our products. We do individually test all products before shipment. It is working when it leaves us, and in our experience Royal Mail can't damage our products.
Delivery
Please allow up to 28 days for delivery, although we generally achieve much better than this and awe have never lost a product in shipment yet. All delivery charges will be shown in the checkout process and any bulk shipment discounts will be made at that time. If you are buying htrough an auction website and want to order several items, please email us and we'll try and combine the postage. We generally use Royal Mail or Parcelforce for deliveries but reserve the right to change carrier or method at any time without notice.
Damaged deliveries
We package our products well, and damage in transit is very rare. In the unlikely event that you do receive a product which is obviously damaged, please do not accept delivery. It is a condition of placing an order with us that you offer us your reasonable co-operation in making a claim off the delivery agent. This may mean retaining the product for several weeks so that it can be inspected, or returning it to us at our expense. If you are asked to sign for a delivery which is damaged, reject the delivery or write "DAMAGED" near your signature on the delivery receipt.If you sign to accept a product as undamaged wie will not accept a later claim from you that ther was obvious damage on delivery.
We want you to be satisfied
Your Garden Safari product is made of natural materials. Some warping, splitting and twisting of wood may occur but should not prevent your nest box or table from functioning as intended. We deliberately leave gaps in the wood in box products to let air circulate and moisture drain out - birds are not people and don't need or enjoy a hermetically-sealed home (they usually nest in bushes, after all) - and for the same reason we don't go out of our way to make all joints exact. Minor gaps and voids and irregularities of shape are part of the natural appearance of the product. None of these things affect the working of your product and none should be regarded as defects.
Subject to the above, we guarantee that your Garden Safari product will be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of three months from the date of purchase. Items bought as seconds are guaranteed in all respects except for the fault(s) which were detailed at the time of purchase. If your product has a serial number (on the label on the back) please quote this in all correspondence. Nothing in our guarantee affects or limits your statutory rights

In the event that you believe one of our products is faulty, we will ask you to return it to us. We will not refund your return postage. If the product does prove to be faulty on examination, we will at our option, repair or replace it, or refund your purchase price less costs of carriage. We strongly advise that your use insured or recorded delivery for returning products to us because we will not be responsible for items that get lost in the post.
Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000
If you buy directly from our website (rather than through an internet auction site) you have additional legal rights. If you change your mind about your Garden Safari product, you have seven days after receipt in which to notify us that you wish to return it. If you do wish to return it, you should note that we will not refund any costs of postage. Provided that the product is received back in good and saleable condition, we will promptly and in all cases within 30 days refund your money less any carriage charges. We strongly advise that you use insured or recorded delivery for returning products to us because we will not be responsible for, or make any refund or compensation against, items that you return which get lost in the post.
